Poetry - October 2025

Starless nights - instead
we open books, bibles, poems;
become constellations
in the λόγος, and ἀμήν,
and in the ἀμήν, λόγος.
Amen.

In the morning, mist.
Let tears speak for themselves.
October, breathing.

In the wee small hours
returns the bipolar ghost,
like fear of winter,
of walking again - once more -
recovery's long hard road.

That poem always weighed
and turned, you can't put to page -
that is also Christ.

For a Harvest Feast with Friends
So we became brothers to the harvest,
through tears sowed and friends lost;
brothers to the harvest,
and to our Father and our Lord.
And we became brothers to our sons
reaping their songs of joy,
and so we became brothers to joy,
with this feast our reward.
